Rock Crystal and Lapis Round Rose Cut Doublets

Rose cut rock crystal backed with lapis – the perfect blue of lapis, with a little extra sparkle!

This is a selection of 5 round rose cut rock crystals backed with lapis. The lapis backing gives spectacular colour with the beautifully polished rock crystal top adding a little extra sparkle.  You’ll receive two stones measuring 12mm in diameter and 3 stones measuring 10mm in diameter.  The total weight of the parcel is approximately 30cts.

These beauties have gorgeous crisp facets together with a beautiful polish and have been made just for us. The stones you will receive are not the exact stones as those pictured, but will be almost the same.

The stones are created in much the same way as opal doublets, with a fine layer of epoxy cementing the two layers together. Because of the epoxy, it is important not to heat the stone (hot water is fine for when using thermoplastic for setting) and not to soak the stones in acetone / denatured alcohol. It is also advisable not to use a steam cleaner or ultrasonic with these stones.

Although these stones have been custom made to our specifications, our manufacturer of these stones has made similar doublets for many large, high end silver jewellery designers in the past, so you can rest assured of the quality.

We will ship from our studio in Malaysia within 4 working days. Parcels are expected to take around two to three weeks to arrive if you live in major cities in the US or UK, but they can take longer for the rest of the world and remote locations. While we ship everything via DHL Express, we cannot guarantee that shipments will arrive within any time frame, but please do contact us if you haven’t received your parcel after 6 weeks and we’ll happily look into it.
